The electric Bentley is on its way, regardless of market conditions.
Expected to be unveiled later this year or early next year, this Bentley SUV will be the luxury brand's first electric vehicle and will introduce a new design language.
Don't be misled by the camouflage. While there are some elements resembling the Bentayga and Flying Spur lights—mostly made of stickers—the masked prototype does not resemble any current Bentley model. Note the blunt, vertical front end, the wide lower intake that spans the front, and the large radar sensor array positioned prominently.
The rear features a more pronounced slope to the roofline leading into a tapered hatch compared to the current Bentayga. The rear fenders display some curves, which might be the closest resemblance to today's Bentayga.
It remains uncertain how much of the EXP 15 Concept’s design has influenced this electric Bentley given the camouflage. However, the blunt front end and broad lower intakes raise questions about whether some design aspects from the concept will make it to production.
This electric Bentley SUV will share its foundation with the 2026 Porsche Cayenne Electric, which means it will incorporate a fast 800-volt electrical system, likely around a 113-kWh battery, dual-motor powertrains featuring in-house developed motors, and the PPE platform which debuted with the Macan Electric. Wireless charging may also be available as standard or optional on the Bentley EV.
As the reveal approaches, we will gain more insights into the electric Bentley. In the meantime, browse through the gallery of spy shots to see what details you can find on the upcoming electric model.
