The concept seems to preview a new production model inspired by the upcoming Porsche 718.

Audi is working to generate excitement for the Munich Motor Show.

The manufacturer will take the opportunity to unveil an entirely new sports car.

This vehicle is reported to fit in between the previous TT and R8 models.

The Munich Motor Show begins on September 9, and German car manufacturers will be prominently featured. Among them, Audi is set to draw attention with the launch of a brand-new sports car concept.

To build anticipation, the company has begun a promotional campaign by sharing two new teaser videos on social media. The first one prominently displays the TT and includes the message, “The legends of yesterday are the blueprint for tomorrow.”

The video then showcases a variety of other models, including vintage race cars and the Avus concept. Although the new concept itself isn’t revealed, Audi stated, “For more than a century, we probed at the edges of possibility. Shaping an industry out of a desire to move forward.”

The second teaser honors the Auto Union Type C and D race cars. These “silver arrows” transformed performance with their lightweight aluminum bodies and a mid-engine layout that was “years ahead of its time.”

While Audi hasn’t disclosed much about their new concept, CEO Gernot Döllner recently mentioned that it represents their TT Moment 2.0. The executive also confirmed that the vehicle will be electric and positioned “somewhere between” a TT and an R8.

A covered image of the concept indicates it will be smaller than the A5 Coupe and Convertible, which aligns with expectations for the company to develop a new sports car based on the Porsche 718 EV. In fact, spy photographers captured what appears to be a test vehicle in April, indicating that work on the production model is already in progress.

As the teaser campaign is just beginning, we can likely anticipate learning more about the concept before its debut next month.
