The 2026 Corolla replaces analog gauges with a new digital instrument cluster and sees an increase in prices.
Recently, the 2026 Toyota Corolla was unveiled with several minor updates.
Buyers will benefit from added standard features, such as a 7-inch digital instrument cluster. Pricing begins at $22,725 for the Corolla and $24,575 for the Corolla Hybrid.
Toyota has launched the 2026 Corolla and Corolla Hybrid, both of which are now better equipped and slightly more premium, with a modest price hike starting at $22,725 before a $1,195 destination fee.
Set to arrive this fall, the Corolla has a simplified lineup, with the FX Edition discontinued for 2026. In addition to that change, the value-oriented LE and SE now come with a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, which represents an upgrade from the earlier analog gauges that were accompanied by a 4.2-inch multi-information display.
The top-tier Corolla XSE now features a 12.3-inch digital display, replacing the previous 7-inch screen, giving the car a more contemporary feel. This larger instrument cluster will also be available as an option for the SE.
In addition to the new displays, the Corolla now includes a standard Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. Buyers will also have access to the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 suite of driver assistance features, which encompasses Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist, Proactive Driving Assist, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, and a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection.
Power is delivered by a familiar 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, generating 169 hp (126 kW / 171 PS) and 151 lb-ft (205 Nm) of torque. It is paired with a continuously variable transmission, enabling the sedan to achieve up to 32 mpg in the city, 41 mpg on the highway, and 35 mpg combined.
Despite the enhancements, the 2026 Corolla LE is only $400 more than its predecessor, with the SE and XSE also experiencing a $400 price increase.
The 2026 Corolla Hybrid mirrors the standard model and features the new displays along with a standard Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. It starts at $24,575, reflecting a $750 increase.
While there aren't many new features, it is notable for its hybridized 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine producing a total output of 138 hp (103 kW / 140 PS). This allows the vehicle to achieve fuel efficiency of up to 53 mpg in the city, 46 mpg on the highway, and 50 mpg combined.
Fuel efficiency is not the only aspect that distinguishes the Corolla Hybrid; this model also offers an optional all-wheel drive system. It is a $1,400 option on the LE and SE trims, and it includes a rear-mounted electric motor that powers the rear wheels as necessary.
