For most, it might just be another typical Tuesday evening, but unbeknownst to many, the most significant car reveal of 2025 is about to unfold. Yes, everyone, we’re just hours away from the unveiling of the next-generation 2026 Toyota RAV4. Even if you have no intention of purchasing or showing any interest in such a vehicle, it's likely that someone close to you does, and you’ll soon see this car everywhere.
Toyota's compact crossover is set to enter its sixth generation, succeeding the fifth, which was launched back in 2018. The company has released seven teaser images that have been carefully cropped and obscured. Three distinct versions of the RAV4 are highlighted:
A gray model with notably small wheels fitted with rugged tires, making its way through snow and ice. Could this be a new Woodland Edition?
Then, there’s a greenish-silver version likely representing the standard Limited trim. This one is designed to manage kids, dogs, park benches, and outstretched arms.
Lastly, there’s a sportier edition. Notice the rear spoiler, two-tone red paint, and a front grille resembling that of the GR Corolla hot hatch. Is a speedy RAV4 in development?

Official information is limited, but based on recent trends from Toyota, we anticipate that this new RAV4 will be available solely as a hybrid, similar to the direction the automaker has taken with the current Camry and Sienna.
