The roof of the Cadillac has been chopped and lowered, with the wing mirrors and door handles removed.
The Cadillac EldoRODo is an extensively modified one-off version of the Eldorado Touring Coupe.
Custom features include a chopped roof, a sharply sloped windshield, and uniquely designed bodywork.
The original 4.6-liter V8 engine remains intact, generating 300 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque.
What you see is a 1999 Cadillac Eldorado Touring Coupe, but this isn’t just any Eldorado. It is a one-of-a-kind creation dubbed the “EldoRODo,” extensively modified by Chuck Lombardo of California Street Rods for GM. Earlier this month, this custom creation sold for $55,000.
The vehicle was previously owned by Tyler Hoovies of Hoovies Garage, who purchased it in 2023. He likely possessed it for a few weeks prior to the listing, as it was featured in one of his videos discussing his tax situation. It is unclear if Hoovies sold it through a proxy or if it changed hands to another buyer who then resold it.
Labeling this as a “modified” Eldorado would be an understatement. The alterations are so extensive that it barely resembles the original Touring Coupe. Notably, the roof has been chopped and lowered, a steeply raked windshield has been added, and the body has seen significant custom modifications.
The front of this unique show car showcases tiny headlights, a simplified front bumper, and a second smaller grille integrated into the bumper. The aim is to maintain a sleek appearance, a theme that continues along the sides of the vehicle.
The bodywork, finished in Ignite Orange, is impeccably smooth and flowing, enhanced by the absence of door handles or wing mirrors. The rear maintains a similarly understated look with tinted vertical taillights and custom vertical chrome-finished tailpipes. Additionally, it features a set of 18-inch wheels.
Inside, the cabin retains most of the standard Eldorado Touring Coupe features, with light-colored leather adorning the interior. The car is equipped with a Bose audio system, a CD player, an AM/FM cassette stereo, dual-zone climate control, and a few accents of carbon fiber trim. It's quite nice, but certainly not overly extravagant.
Regarding the engine, it remains unaltered. The 4.6-liter V8 engine is still in place, providing 300 horsepower and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque. So, while the car may have a completely different appearance, its performance characteristics remain stock.
This distinctive Cadillac was sold through Bring a Trailer and is hoped to find a home in a collection or be displayed in a museum. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to be road-registerable, so it’s unlikely to be seen cruising the streets anytime soon.
