      Here's hoping Toyota learns of this milestone and awards Sheppard a second complimentary Tundra.

      Victor Sheppard’s 2014 Toyota Tundra still has its original 5.7-liter V8 engine.

      The transmission had to be replaced when the truck reached about 860,000 miles.

      While many people grow weary of their vehicles after a few years, Victor Sheppard is not among them. He has successfully driven two different Toyota Tundra trucks past the million-mile mark, showcasing his loyalty and impressive time on the road.

      In 2016, Sheppard’s 2007 Toyota Tundra achieved the incredible milestone of 1 million miles. To commemorate this achievement, Toyota presented him with a brand-new 2016 Tundra at no cost. Fast forward to 2025, and Sheppard has made headlines again, this time with his 2014 Tundra, which has also surpassed the million-mile mark. Over the last 20 years, Sheppard has outdriven what most people will manage in their lifetime.

      His second million-mile Tundra is not the vehicle Toyota gifted him in 2016; rather, Sheppard bought the 2014 Tundra before he surpassed the 999,999-mile mark in his original 2007 model. After trading in his 2007 Tundra for the 2016 version, he began using the 2014 truck for work, while saving the new Tundra for personal use.

      One remarkable aspect of Sheppard’s first million-mile Tundra is that it achieved this milestone with the original engine and transmission intact, requiring only routine maintenance. His 2014 Tundra has also proven reliable over the last decade, with no significant engine issues, although it did need a new transmission around 860,000 miles.

      Pickup Truck Talk was the first to share the story, along with several photos of Sheppard’s 2014 Tundra. Despite the high mileage, the truck remains in good shape. There are some dings on the passenger-side rear door, but most panels are well-maintained, and even the chrome grille and accents on the front and rear bumpers are still shiny.

      It remains uncertain whether Toyota corporate is aware of Sheppard’s latest mileage achievement, but it would be wonderful if they decided to reward him with another new truck to continue accumulating miles. After all, nothing promotes trucks better than proven durability, and Sheppard’s experience is as genuine as it gets.
