If I asked you to imagine a six-wheeled Ford pickup, you'd likely visualize something like the Hennessey Velociraptor 6×6—big, rugged, and capable. You probably wouldn’t think of this custom-built, bagged, six-wheeled 1994 Ford Ranger, which resembles a vehicle inspired by a Smash Mouth album. If that truck appeals to you, good news—it's available for sale in North Carolina.
Originally just a standard Ford Ranger with a 4.0-liter V6 and manual transmission, this truck has transformed into the official lead vehicle for the Flavortown Parade. The frame has been extended to fit a second rear axle and outfitted with adjustable air suspension, which explains its notably low stance in the photos provided by the seller. Any prospective buyers can examine the chassis and suspension; the entire bed floor lifts up and stays open with a prop rod. Despite being hinged, that floor is robust enough to support at least one dirt bike, as shown in the images.

Now, let’s talk about the paint job. I’m not sure when this truck was painted, but I’ll wager that frosted tips were still a popular hairstyle then. The quality of the work appears to be quite good. The details are impressive from a distance, featuring numerous layers and intricate elements in the design. Pink flames adorn the front, blue swoops are on one side, and lemon-lime zig-zags on the other. Skulls are also painted along the sides, continuing under the hood and into the driver’s side door jamb. There’s no doubt that whoever painted this Ranger had talent; the design is simply somewhat outdated. Perhaps a retro aesthetic was the goal.
The blue-and-yellow theme extends to the interior, showcasing a custom center console, navy Mustang seats, and a distinctive steering wheel. The spokes of the wheel are designed as flames, naturally. However, the rest of the cabin requires significant improvements; the headliner appears to be made of sound-deadening material, the A-pillar gauges are still a work in progress, and there’s an incomplete plywood subwoofer box located behind the seats.

The seller doesn’t mention any modifications to the engine, but it does seem to feature some substantial intake plumbing under the hood, so there may be upgrades.
Is this hilariously outdated yet impressively constructed six-wheeled Ford Ranger worth its asking price of $8,000? The value ultimately depends on personal perspective. However, if you happen to have a few Limp Bizkit CDs that you're eager to listen to again and need the perfect vehicle for the occasion, this could be the one for you.
