The off-road vehicle is equipped with a Honda 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine and a 6-speed manual transmission.

It features adjustable Ohlins coilovers and 15-inch wheels fitted with mud tires.

Although it is road-legal, the Nomad is far more adept at handling trails, dunes, and rough terrain.

Nobody truly requires an Ariel Nomad Tactical, but once you've witnessed its ability to speed through dirt or leap over rocks like an energetic dune buggy, you may start to question how you've managed without it. The Nomad isn't a practical investment, nor is it essential for your regular commute.

However, if you're in the market for a versatile and exhilarating all-terrain vehicle, there's simply nothing that compares to it. Now, there’s one available for purchase.

Watch: Supercharged K24 Ariel Nomad Is The Pinnacle Of Adventure Motoring

This 2017 Nomad Tactical was constructed by TMI AutoTech in Virginia and comes with a clear Oregon title. While you may need to plead with your partner for permission to buy it if your finances aren’t overflowing, you won't find anything else like this on the market. It can be used on the road and offers sports car excitement, but it truly excels in off-road environments, climbing over rocks and leaping across sand dunes.

Beneath its cage-like frame lies a 2.4-liter K24 inline-four-cylinder engine from Honda. Ariel did offer a supercharged version of the Nomad, but this one is not supercharged. Nevertheless, it still roars, partly due to a custom exhaust system. The four-cylinder engine is paired with a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential in the rear axle.

As for practicality? That’s not the strong point of the Nomad Tactical. Besides lacking rear body panels, it doesn't have a true roof—just a flimsy fabric soft top. However, it does come with a windshield, unlike some other Ariel models, allowing it to be driven without a helmet or goggles. Inside, you'll find lightweight fiberglass seats equipped with racing harnesses and a Momo steering wheel.

This vehicle is mounted on 15-inch wheels with 235/75 BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM2 tires and is supported by adjustable Ohlins coilovers. The entire design appears to be the creation of someone who felt a rally car was too tame. Despite being with the current owner since 2017, it has only accumulated 508 miles (817 kilometers), barely broken in for a vehicle made to be launched off the nearest hill.

If you're in the mood for adventure, you can view the Nomad Tactical listing on Bring a Trailer right here. Just don't come back to us when you're wondering how to explain it to your insurance agent.
