Customer deliveries of the four-door Dodge Charger were originally planned to begin in the first quarter, but are now expected to start in the latter half of the year.
Dodge unveiled the four-door Charger alongside the coupe at SpringFest 2025, and production for the new model is scheduled to commence in May for the 2026 model year. Stellantis will manufacture both electric and six-cylinder variants of the new Charger.
Last weekend at SpringFest 2025 in Southern California, the public got their first look at the four-door Charger Daytona. Although Dodge has previously shared multiple images of the vehicle, this was the first opportunity to see it up close, sporting a unique hue called Bludicrous.
While the new two-door Charger may be seen as a replacement for the Challenger, the four-door variant serves as a direct successor to the previous-generation Charger. It will not feature a V8 engine, requiring buyers to choose between an electric powertrain or, for those preferring an internal combustion engine, a twin-turbocharged six-cylinder.
While the design of the two-door Charger is appealing, the doors do appear somewhat small, and there seems to be excessive space between the doors and the rear wheels. Fortunately, the proportions of the four-door Charger Daytona appear more aesthetically pleasing, and the paint color is stunning. It could potentially look even better with a widebody kit, although we may have to wait for Dodge to release such a model.
Initially, customer deliveries for the four-door Charger were to begin in Q1 2025, but production has been postponed to May, aligning with the launch of the 2026 model year.
In addition to showcasing the Bluedicrous Charger, Dodge also presented the black and red two-door model that was previewed last week. This two-door variant is finished in black with matte black racing stripes featuring numerous small Fratzog logos and red pinstripes. Unfortunately, Dodge’s online configurator does not offer these stripes, which is disappointing as they complement the car well and could be appealing to buyers if available.
