The updated hatchback is set to make its debut later this year, featuring a completely redesigned front end.

Spy photographers have caught images of the refreshed Seat Ibiza ahead of its official reveal.

This version boasts a more assertive front design with a new bumper, grille, and headlights.

We can also look forward to a redesigned rear section along with some minor enhancements to the powertrain.

Last week, Seat offered a glimpse of the facelifted Ibiza, and now spy photos show the updated hatchback being tested in cold weather. While it is heavily camouflaged, we anticipate a subtle redesign emphasizing the front and rear.

Though much of it remains hidden, Seat has previously revealed the model without any disguise. Thus, we know that the popular subcompact will receive a sporty makeover featuring a more pronounced grille and redesigned headlights. The latter will still include triangular LED accents, though they appear more subdued this time.

Beneath that, there's an assertive front bumper with angular elements that direct air to vertical intakes, along with a new central opening framed in black.

The rest of the vehicle largely remains unchanged, but the rear end features some subtle updates. The most prominent changes are new taillight graphics and a slightly revised rear bumper, which now includes angular reflectors and a sleeker design.

Though photographers didn't capture a clear view of the interior, several updates are expected to keep it current. While nothing has been confirmed, we would not be shocked to see an upgraded infotainment system along with some minor tweaks.

Details about engine choices remain undisclosed, but the current model offers 1.0-liter engines producing 79 hp (59 kW / 80 PS), 94 hp (70 kW / 95 PS), and 114 hp (85 kW / 116 PS). Additionally, a 1.5-liter TSI engine generating 148 hp (110 kW / 150 PS) is available. Buyers can choose between five- and six-speed manuals, or a seven-speed DSG transmission.
