Statement from the Attorney General
Attorney General Bondi was clear in her reaction to the situation, stating: “The era of committing crimes without facing consequences is over. Let this serve as a warning: if you partake in this wave of domestic terrorism against Tesla properties, the Department of Justice will ensure you are incarcerated.” Her office also stated they are “dedicated to eradicating all acts of violence and arson directed at Tesla properties and beyond.”
This announcement follows a statement from Bondi made two days prior, in which she mentioned that “The surge of violent attacks on Tesla property is nothing less than domestic terrorism. The Department of Justice has already charged several offenders with this in mind, including cases carrying five-year mandatory minimum sentences.”
Regarding the three individuals charged in this latest wave, they are now facing potential prison terms ranging from five to 20 years, based on the specifics of their actions.
