The NSW police apprehended a Subaru driver who has been banned from driving for 91 years.
The individual was arrested and faces serious legal repercussions due to being a habitual offender.
The 73-year-old would need to live for another 165 years to ever regain his driving license.
Some individuals simply refuse to get the message. While traffic law offenders often repeat their offenses, few take it to the extreme as a 73-year-old man from Australia, who was recently taken into custody for driving despite a ban lasting until the year 2117.
This incident occurred in Bathurst, New South Wales, when local police noticed the elderly man behind the wheel of a Subaru last Sunday. During a routine random breath test, officers discovered that the driver had a long-term disqualification from driving, with his ban extending an astonishing 92 years.
It appears the man is familiar to law enforcement. Police recognized him immediately as a long-term disqualified driver, confirming his notoriety among the authorities. This is further supported by a CarExpert report indicating this was his third offense in just five years, clearly illustrating a blatant disregard for the law and its consequences.

As expected, the man was arrested and taken to the Bathurst Police Station, where he was denied bail.
The 73-year-old Australian faces charges of "driving while disqualified" and is set to appear in local court on March 10. Additionally, he received a notice for confiscating his license plate for driving a vehicle during the disqualification period.
Under New South Wales legislation, driving while disqualified could lead to six months in jail, with repeat offenders facing up to a year in prison. So, there’s that to anticipate.
In addition to the possibility of imprisonment, the Subaru driver will experience further setbacks in regaining his license. Even prior to this latest offense, he would have needed to live for 165 more years to have any chance of having his legal driving privileges restored. Unless a miraculous solution for aging arises, his chances of reclaiming the freedom of driving seem exceedingly slim.
