Toyota Provides a Subtle Update for the 2025 Corolla in Europe | Carscoops
Toyota has not yet revealed market-specific pricing for the refreshed European version of the Corolla.
New for the 2025 model lineup is an eye-catching red known as Metal Oxide.
Additionally, Toyota has introduced unique 17-inch wheels featuring silver and black spokes.
The Corolla's interior now includes the same synthetic leather found in the C-HR.
The 12th-generation Toyota Corolla has been updated for the European market for the 2025 model year. While the modifications are relatively minor, they do affect both the exterior design and interior. Sales are set to commence later this month, although specific prices for different markets have not been announced.
As in the past, the Corolla remains available in Hatchback, Sedan, and Touring Sports versions, with a selection of 10 paint colors. A newly introduced color to the lineup is Metal Oxide, a red hue exclusively paired with a contrasting gloss black roof on the Hatchback and Touring Sports models. The sedan can also be purchased in Metal Oxide with either a matching or contrasting roof.
Toyota predicts that 80% of GR Corolla buyers will opt for the manual transmission over the automatic option.
The updates from the Japanese manufacturer extend to the cabin, though they may not excite customers significantly. Similar to the C-HR, the 2025 Corolla’s steering wheel and gear shift knob are now covered in synthetic leather. Mid+ grade Hatchback and Touring Sports variants can also be equipped with new upholstery made from recycled fabric. According to Toyota, this material “feels pleasant to the touch” and is “durable.”
No updates to the powertrain have been mentioned, suggesting that Toyota will likely continue to offer the Corolla in Europe with the same hybrid 1.8-liter and 2.0-liter engines as before. The 1.8-liter engine produces 138 hp, while the 2.0-liter option delivers 193 hp. Lastly, the latest generation of Toyota Safety Sense is standard across the Corolla lineup.
