Mini has launched a budget-friendly Cooper Oxford Edition, which has a starting price of $24,950.
This model features 18-inch wheels, two-tone sport seats, and a dual-clutch transmission.
It is expected to be powered by a 2.0-liter turbo engine that delivers 161 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque.
Given the effects of inflation and the decline of affordable vehicles, sedans and hatchbacks have become quite scarce. Nevertheless, Mini is introducing a new option.
Although the brand is not particularly known for economical cars, they are reintroducing the Oxford Edition for 2025. This new entry-level Cooper starts at $24,950 for the 2-Door model and $25,950 for the 4-Door variant. Both options represent significant savings, with the current starting price for the 2-Door being $28,950 and the cheapest 4-Door being $33,200 for the Cooper S.

Mini provided limited details about the car; however, the Oxford Edition comes with 18-inch wheels fitted with summer tires. Other key features include LED headlights and a panoramic moonroof. Three color choices are available: Blazing Blue Metallic, Nanuq White Metallic, and Sunny Side Yellow.
The interior is outfitted with two-tone sport seats covered in Vescin and cloth upholstery. Additional features include an anthracite headliner, a dual-zone climate control system, and a 9.4-inch display.
Customers can also anticipate various driver assistance systems, such as Forward Collision Mitigation, Left Turn Warning, and Lane Keeping Assistant, along with Speed Limit Assistant and Parking Assistant.
While Mini indicated that the Oxford Edition includes a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, specific details about its pairing were not mentioned. It is likely connected to a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 161 hp (120 kW / 163 PS) and 184 lb-ft (249 Nm) of torque. This setup should allow the 2-Door model to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 96 km/h) in 7.4 seconds, reaching a top speed of 130 mph (209 km/h).
Mini is currently open for pre-orders with a refundable deposit of $100, and production is expected to commence in March. Interested buyers should hurry, as only a "limited number of units" will be manufactured.
