Although the car might be fixable, there is a high likelihood that its insurance company will declare it a total loss.

The driver of the Ferrari reports that he swerved to avoid a different vehicle and collided with a highway barrier.

All four wheels of the F8 have sustained damage, and the front bumper has suffered significant impact.

Police who arrived at the scene assisted in safely guiding the supercar off Interstate 10.

In Los Angeles, you often witness unusual occurrences, and earlier this month, a Ferrari F8 Spider was severely damaged in a crash in the city. While such an event isn't shocking given the number of luxury cars in LA, what’s strange about this situation is that the police instructed the driver to maneuver the damaged vehicle off Interstate 10 instead of waiting for a tow.

The incident took place on February 2 around 5 a.m. The Ferrari driver stated that he swerved to avoid another car, but lost control and crashed into the concrete median barrier.

The extent of damage to the vehicle is enough to bring anyone to tears. The hood is forced open, the windshield is shattered, and both tires on the passenger side are displaced. An officer can be heard asking the driver if the car starts. After the driver turns it on, he is instructed to carefully drive to the nearest exit, creating a truly strange scene.

Once off the Interstate, we get a clearer view of the damage on the driver’s side. The rear wheel is severely bent, the front bumper is crushed, and one headlight is misaligned. The impact was also strong enough to deploy the airbags.

It’s not clear if the driver is the owner, but either way, he will likely have to pay a significant amount to the insurance company. Can the F8 be repaired? It's difficult to determine without a physical inspection, but components like bumpers and wheels can generally be replaced without too much trouble. However, there’s a strong possibility it could still be declared a total loss, especially if costly elements like the suspension and brakes have been damaged.
