The Carrera T “Formosa” pays tribute to Taiwan through its customized design elements.

Its distinct paint and trim reflect the cliffs and coastlines of the island.

Porsche has preserved the 911’s manual transmission and sporty suspension.

Luxury brands are increasingly focusing on customization, and Porsche’s Sonderwunsch program is no exception. To showcase the capabilities of its bespoke department, it has recently revealed the Formosa, a one-of-a-kind version based on the 911 Carrera T, celebrating Taiwan’s varied landscapes.

Additionally, the Porsche Panamera Turbo ‘Sonderwunsch’ received a luxurious upgrade featuring real gold flakes.

The car is named after Taiwan’s 16th-century designation “Ilha Formosa,” which means “Beautiful Island.” Staying true to this inspiration, this unique 911 Carrera T combines an eye-catching aesthetic with the pure performance that enthusiasts appreciate.

      Pacific-Inspired Color Scheme

For instance, the distinctive paint is a unique shade called Ipanema Blue Metallic designed to reflect the island’s surrounding Pacific waters. Suzuka Grey Metallic highlights on the rear lettering, side window trim, and engine lid slats echo the rugged rock formations along the east coast.

It is also equipped with RS Spyder wheels coated in Suzuka Grey Metallic and features Vanadium Grey inner rims, expanding the color theme, while black HD-Matrix LED headlights and Exclusive Design taillights add a refined yet sporty touch.

      Interior Features Matter Too

The interior story continues with Paldao wood trim symbolizing Taiwan’s verdant mountains. The full bucket seats are upholstered in bi-colour Truffle Brown and Black leather, complemented with Night Green stitching. The standout feature is a new “Formosa” checkered pattern in Night Green, Black, and Cream White.

This pattern adorns the seat inserts and the fully leather-lined front boot, which is embroidered with “Formosa” writing. Illuminated door sill plates display “Formosa x Sonderwunsch,” while the headrests are embossed with a silhouette of the 911 Carrera T entwined with wave and mountain designs.

This Carrera T maintains the mechanical features that make it exceptional, including a manual transmission, a sport-tuned suspension, and, notably, a 3.0-liter flat-six engine producing 388 hp (289 kW) and 331 lb-ft (421 Nm) of torque.

It’s important to note that Porsche’s Sonderwunsch program is not confined to new vehicles. Recently, it restored a rare 2009 Cayenne GTS with its V8 engine and manual gearbox. In short, whatever a customer's wishes may be, Porsche can bring those aspirations to life.
