BMW is expected to unveil a two-door i4 Coupe EV by late 2028.
These renderings depict the car featuring design elements from the Neue Klasse lineup.
An i4 Convertible may potentially follow this model.
BMW is in the midst of one of its most ambitious product overhauls ever. In the coming years, numerous new or significantly redesigned models are scheduled to launch, and among them could be a noteworthy two-door i4 Coupe.

Aimed to bear the internal codename NA2, this sleek coupe is anticipated to be the all-electric successor to the current 4-Series Coupe, pending final production approval. It may even open the door for an i4 Convertible, rumored to be designated as the NA3.
The renderings presented here provide a preview of how this future coupe might appear.
Crafted by Sugar Design, these illustrations showcase the two-door i4 adopting the styling elements of BMW’s recent Neue Klasse concept vehicles, enhanced to look even more sophisticated.
The front end extends long and low, bordered by sharp headlights and narrow kidney grilles. Although the new model will exclusively be an EV, it's hard not to envision what type of combustion engine BMW might have placed under that hood had it been another time.
The sides are also appealing. As a two-door, it immediately looks more attractive than the four-door Vision Neue Klasse that was revealed two years ago. The rear features thin horizontal LED taillights, giving it a slick appearance.
What Do We Know About The i4 Coupe?
Discussions regarding a two-door i4 first emerged last year, with reports hinting that production approval had already been granted for a launch in the latter half of 2028, likely sharing most components with the upcoming i3 Sedan. However, this timeline may not be definitive.
As the global auto market changes rapidly, BMW could easily revise its plans or even overhaul its entire approach before the vehicle hits dealerships.

There’s also a wider question of timing. The market for new EVs has slowed compared to initial forecasts in the United States, BMW's key market, and two-door models generally attract a smaller audience even when they have a combustion engine.
For BMW, the introduction of an electric coupe at this moment would be more about branding than market rationale. It’s a car designed to make a statement rather than primarily seek profit. Whether this is enough to bring the NA2 to fruition will be contingent on how the next few years unfold.
