The mild facelift introduces new colors, updated aesthetics, and black roof rails on the upper trims.
All models now feature a 12.3-inch display equipped with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The rugged Rock Creek version is back, now offering an optional Premium Package for added comfort.
For 2026, Nissan has given the Pathfinder a subtle refresh to maintain its competitiveness as a three-row SUV. While this isn't a completely new model, the mild facelift enhances its appearance, incorporates better technology, and adds a bit of refinement to compete with newer, more appealing rivals.
What’s Different?
Making its first appearance at the Los Angeles Auto Show later this month alongside Kia’s striking new Telluride and its Hyundai Palisade counterpart, the updated Pathfinder features new front and rear designs, satin badges, and a Baltic Teal color option.
The interior showcases a revamped dashboard with a larger touchscreen, embossed “PATHFINDER” branding, and on higher trims, black roof rails in place of the previous silver ones. Additionally, the top-tier Platinum model introduces new 20-inch wheels, stylish quilted seating, and wood-tone interior accents.
Tech Innovations
The Pathfinder sees significant updates in technology. Every trim now comes equipped with a 12.3-inch touchscreen featuring wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while the SL and higher grades receive a corresponding 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
Earlier models were limited to a 9-inch infotainment system. A new 15-Watt wireless charger offers quicker performance, enhanced functionality, and includes a fan to prevent overheating, plus it magnetically secures your device in the optimal charging position.
Camera Enhancements
Camera technology has also been improved. Nissan’s enhanced HD Intelligent Around View Monitor now offers a 180-degree Front Wide View and an "Invisible Hood View," allowing drivers to virtually see through the hood—ideal for tight garages, drive-throughs, or impressing passengers.
The proven 3.5-liter V6 engine produces 284 hp (288 PS) and 259 lb-ft of torque (351 Nm), paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Towing capacity remains at 6,000 pounds (2,720 kg) for the more robust trims, and the Intelligent 4×4 system with seven drive modes remains unchanged.
Rock Creek Goes Upscale
The Rock Creek variant returns as the adventurous option, equipped with all-terrain tires, an off-road-tuned suspension, and red interior accents for style. New for 2026 is the Rock Creek Premium Package, which adds amenities such as a panoramic sunroof and heated steering wheel.
The refreshed Pathfinder is set to arrive at dealerships in early 2026 and certainly boasts more appeal than its predecessor. However, the previous model already faced challenges in sales against the older Telluride and Palisade, and with both of those competitors being fully redesigned for 2026, the Pathfinder will face considerable challenges ahead.
