The new P7 will be offered in both single and dual-motor versions, producing as much as 586 hp.

Xpeng has introduced the second-generation P7, featuring battery capacities of 74.9 kWh and 92.92 kWh.

The long-range rear-wheel drive variant boasts a claimed range of 509 miles (820 km).

Inside, it features an 87-inch augmented reality head-up display along with a central screen that tilts towards the driver.

Update: We have included live images from Munich alongside new information on the P7’s specifications and interior after its European premiere.

Xpeng’s cutting-edge P7 sports sedan has officially debuted in Europe at the Munich Motor Show. As early teasers suggested, it stands out distinctly from other offerings in today’s EV market. While sedans may not dominate sales, vehicles like the Xiaomi SU7 and the P7 demonstrate there is still considerable interest in stylish, performance-oriented four-door cars.

The exterior design of the new P7 is quite striking. Its appearance seems to intentionally set it apart, incorporating elements reminiscent of the Tesla Cybertruck. The front features a bold full-width LED light bar paired with vertical daytime running lights, creating a dramatic initial impression. At the rear, this theme continues with a corresponding light bar, vertically arranged taillights, and a curved rear glass in place of the typical trunk lid design.

      Tech and Driver-Focused Dash

Perhaps more intriguing than the exterior is the interior of the P7. The sedan is equipped with the same large 87-inch augmented reality head-up display that Xiaomi debuted on the G7 SUV. Additionally, a sporty three-spoke steering wheel features AMG-style dials that allow the driver to adjust certain settings on the move.

Contributing to the sophisticated ambiance, the ambient lighting has been carefully designed, and the central infotainment screen is mounted on a tilting panel that angles towards the driver. A slim digital gauge cluster is positioned just behind the wheel, while the bucket-style sport seats are equipped with active side bolsters that inflate to help secure the driver during sharp turns, a feature available in some premium German performance vehicles.

      Performance Specs and Range Options

The P7 comes with two battery choices: a 74.9 kWh pack and a larger 92.92 kWh variant. The standard model features a single rear-mounted electric motor generating 362 hp (270 kW). Those looking for enhanced traction and performance can select the all-wheel-drive version, which adds a front motor producing 224 hp (167 kW) for a total output of 586 hp (437 kW). This configuration is expected to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 3.7 seconds, with a top speed limited to 142 mph.

Xpeng aims for competitive range figures across its lineup. The base model is expected to achieve up to 436 miles (702 km) on a full charge. Choosing the long-range rear-wheel-drive option extends that range to 509 miles (820 km), while the dual-motor AWD variant still impressively reaches 466 miles (750 km).

Though specific charging times are not yet available, Xpeng states that the P7 will support the same 5C fast-charging standard as the G7 SUV. This means that just 10 minutes of charging could potentially add up to 271 miles (436 km) of range, provided the conditions and infrastructure are comparable.

In terms of size, the sedan spans 197.5 inches (5,017 mm) in length, 77.6 inches (1,970 mm) in width, and 56.2 inches (1,427 mm) in height, with a wheelbase of 118.4 inches (3,008 mm), giving it dimensions similar to the Tesla Model S.

The second-generation P7 became available for purchase in China at the end of August, with prices ranging from 219,800 yuan (approximately $30,200) to 301,800 yuan (around $41,500). Xpeng has yet to announce details for its European launch, but these price points are compelling enough to encourage Western consumers to reconsider their perceptions of value, despite the ongoing debate in China about the sustainability of this approach.
