Only nine Alfa Romeo TZ3 Stradale Zagato models were ever produced globally.

      The Viper's 8.4-liter naturally aspirated V10 generates 640 hp and 605 lb-ft of torque.

Recently, it sold for $632,000, significantly exceeding auction pre-estimates.

You may not have been familiar with the Alfa Romeo TZ3 Stradale Zagato before, but it is one of the most visually stunning cars of this century. With only nine units ever manufactured, it stands as one of the rarest Alfa Romeos to bear the brand's emblem.

While it shares its foundation with the Dodge Viper, the bodywork is completely distinct. The TZ3 forgoes raw aggression for something much more sophisticated, merging classic Italian curves with the artisanal styling of Zagato. Currently, one of these rare vehicles is returning to the market, providing a sneak peek into what collectors are willing to pay for exclusivity crafted from carbon fiber.

Not long ago, a dealer in the US listed this TZ3 Stradale for an astonishing $675,000. Since the dealer was unable to sell it directly, the car has now been placed for auction through Bring a Trailer, with hopes of completing the sale there. Although the reserve price has not been disclosed, it's likely close to the $675k range.

There’s no doubt regarding the car's high value. Last August, it fetched $632,000, well exceeding pre-auction estimates of $450,000 to $550,000. It's hard to fathom why someone would part with a stunning car like this so soon after acquisition, but the dealer clearly aims to make a significant profit on the limited-edition Zagato.

In creating the vehicle, Zagato drew inspiration from several models produced in the mid-1960s. All new body panels are crafted from lightweight carbon fiber, featuring a double bubble roof and a classic Scudetto Alfa Romeo front grille. It is adorned in a striking Dark Blue Metallic finish and, despite being 15 years old, has only accumulated 1,900 miles (3,057 km) of driving.

At its core, it’s all Viper.

The Dodge Viper’s 8.4-liter naturally aspirated V10 remains unchanged, delivering 640 hp and 605 lb-ft of torque. The car underwent service in June, receiving new spark plugs, and it is paired with a powerful six-speed Tremec manual transmission. Last month, the steering rack was rebuilt, the front coilovers were replaced, and new rear end links were added.

For anyone with several hundred thousand dollars to spare and a penchant for a blend of Italian elegance with American muscle, this could be your dream car. It is rare, loud, and intriguingly elegant. Check out the listing here.
